John Turk

John has over 20 years of experience in the fitness industry as a personal trainer helping others to reach their own personal fitness goals. He holds a Bachelors degree from Illinois State University in Physical Education with a minor in Nutrition. He has a strong belief that proper nutrition from healthy foods can heal and undo many of the health issues that trouble people. Here is some of the nutritional guidance I give to supplement my fitness training.
John currently holds a CSCS certification from the NSCA. The personal training industry is ever-changing, so he works to bring the latest personal fitness innovations to his clients by frequently attending sport & fitness training seminars and workshops.
He is trained in MyoFacial Trigger Point Release for muscle pain and discomfort. Myofascial pain syndrome sufferers have muscle pain that persists or worsens beyond normal soreness. John also teaches his clients how to properly stretch as well as incorporating techniques for faster muscle recovery after a workout.
He is also well versed in Plyometric exercise in order to improve overall sports performance as well as sport specific activities. With a background in football, wrestling as well as martial arts, he understands how an athlete can always push past limits by working muscles smarter not harder.

Denise is certified as a NASM- CPT wellness and fitness expert. Her training is based upon movement science, anatomy, and physiology.
Denise wants to understand her clients personal fitness needs and limitations to help them achieve their goals. She performs function assessments to identify individual clients performance and strength. She truly believes that personal training is a team effort between the client and the personal trainer. Being a team means that if there is trust, Denise can help you overcome what may have stopped you in the past and work through those obstacles to enjoy the process and look forward to a new life.
Denise achieves results with 3 personal fitness layers. First, she creates a individualized, complete personal training programs for each client. She then teaches proper exercises and form. So often a personal training program can be ruined just by improper form. Which may cause injury or failure to reach fitness goals. Poor form leads to poor results which equals frustration. Finally she analyzes clients nutritional needs and makes informed dietary recommendations. She finds that often the simplest changes have the greatest impact with no sense of being deprived.
